Love Crazy Designs!

Yet again, another post that is not about knitting. I feel like I am doing a public service by informing you of my latest obsession. Love Crazy Designs was featured by The Pioneer Woman (Ree Drummond) a while back and I immediately fell in love with these cuff bracelets, which may or may not be obvious by the fact that I have 8 of them already and a couple more on order:) They are made by a jewelry artist in Oklahoma who is the sweetest person to work with. She has tons of designs on her Facebook page and does custom designs for you too. Check it out, I promise you won't be disappointed.  I'll post a pic of mine in a little bit. Take a look at some of her stuff:

Necklaces too!

Jewelry and Other Things

I posted a while back about a new jewelry line that I was going to be involved in. It's still coming, just hang in there. They are primarily hand designed, multi-layer resin pieces (not resin stickers). The launch of our new site has taken a little longer than expected, especially with the hubby being out of town for so long. This will be my main focus for a while since knit sales have slowed for the season in my shop. I will be working on a line of 18 in. doll clothes to fit dolls like the American Girls. Here is a preview of one of my upcoming pieces.

Wizard of Oz Cake

I usually take requests from my boys for their birthday cakes, but this time my sister came to me with a cake request. She was having a Wizard of Oz themed party for my niece and wanted me to make her a cake to go along with it. I am not a baker by any means so needless to say I was a little nervous about tackling this project. I made a rainbow colored cake using gel food coloring

and decorated the cake using mostly fondant.
